Bring Your Bike Inside Over Break
Bike theft over academic breaks is a huge issue at college campuses around the country.
To avoid this, consider storing your bike inside your room while you’re away. This is especially applicable to residence halls with outdoor-only storage facilities like Nash, Eden’s North, Fairhaven, and the Ridge. Yet, even if your bike is stored at an indoor facility like those found at Mathes, Alma Clark Glass, Edens, and Higginson, bringing bikes inside your room is the only way to guarantee they remain safe while you’re away.
Reducing bike theft from Western’s campus requires combined efforts from all students, faculty, and university staff. Help keep bikes safe this winter break by telling others about the importance of proper bike storage and management.
