Student Summer Parking Information

Parking permits are required during summer quarter. Summer parking permits are available for any student who needs to park on campus. Please read below for the different permit options depending on whether you are living in an on-campus resident hall, or off-campus.

Summer permits are valid beginning on June 20th, 2022.

Students Living Off-Campus

Students living off-campus can purchase a summer parking permit for either the C lot, for disability parking spaces, or for motorcycle parking spaces lot by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Parking Portal at www.wwu.edu/park.
  2. Click on the "get permits" button. You will be asked to login if you are not already logged-in.
  3. Click "next" to see the list of available permits.
  4. At the bottom of the list, you should see options for summer permits for the C lot, for disability parking spaces, and for motorcycle parking spaces. Please keep in mind that anyone parking with a disability parking permit will also need a state disability parking placard to be valid.
  5. Select your preferred permit, and continue with the checkout process.

Students Living On-Campus

Students living on-campus in the Buchanan Towers resident hall will be able to purchase a permit that will be valid in both the C lot and the 1R resident lot. Due to the limited amount of available parking in the 1R resident lot, this permit will be valid in both locations, meaning you will be able to park in the C lot if you arrive and find the 1R resident lot full.

Students living-on campus with spring quarter resident lot permits will be able to use their permits to park in the C lot starting on Monday, June 13th to allow for a transition to their summer resident hall.

You can purchase a summer permit by following these steps:

Please keep in mind that anyone parking with a disability parking permit will also need a state disability parking placard to be valid.
