Student Transfers and Refunds
Permit Transfers
- If you have a permit and want to transfer to a different lot, add yourself to the waitlist through the Parking Portal for your desired lot.
- If you're awarded a permit for the new lot, the credit from your original permit applies to the new one — you'll either pay the difference or receive a refund if the two permits differ in price.
- If you're transferring an R lot permit to a different R lot, contact transportation@wwu.edu directly.
Permit Returns & Refunds
- Permits can be returned for a prorated refund, calculated from the day the return is requested.
- Refund requests made after an extended personal or emergency leave don't qualify for a retroactive refund — any unused quarters remaining on the permit will still be refunded.
- To request a return, email Transportation Services with your W# and your request.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Annual permits can't be partially refunded for a single quarter — a return cancels the remainder of the whole permit, and you'd need to rejoin the waitlist for that lot before returning to campus.
