Use of Pay-by-Day App starting March 27, 2023.

Transportation Services is in the process of implementing a new and improved Pay-By-Day parking process. This new process will still use the Parkmobile app but will remove the need for employees to register discount codes and will instead provide an automatically reduced permit rate based on your Parkmobile email account. We are emailing today in order to provide information regarding the transition to the new process. The new Pay-By-Day process start at the beginning of Spring Quarter, March 27, 2023.

You will receive an email from our office prompting you to sign up for a permit through the WWU Parking Portal, found online at www.wwu.edu/park. This permit itself will be available at no-cost. Once you are signed up, your WWU email account will automatically be registered with Parkmobile, allowing you to receive the appropriate employee Pay-By-Day parking rate. Instructions for purchasing the daily permits will be sent out the morning following your registration in the Parking Portal, but for those who have been using the Pay-By-Day permits already, very little will change.

The most important aspect of the new process is the use of your universal login email address to sign up via ParkMobile.  To receive the correct parking rate, your Parkmobile account will need to be registered under your WWU employee email address. The format of your email address will need to be UniversalLogin@wwu.edu, the same address you may already use to login to Office365.

Using the format of FirstName.LastName@wwu.edu will not work. Employees who have previously been using a Parkmobile account with a personal email address for Pay-By-Day parking will need to create a new account with their WWU employee email address. If you are unsure of the email address to use, the exact email address will be included in the instructions that are sent to you the morning following your permit registration.

Additionally, a small number of employees may see slight reductions in the ParkMobile daily parking rates during the transition period. These permits will still be valid as normal.
