What Is Zone Parking?

Zone Parking increases parking flexibility for employees during breaks between quarters. Instead of an employee permit only being valid in one specific lot, it becomes valid across an entire "zone" of lots.

  • Blue Zone lots (valid for all employee permits during Zone Parking): 7G, 9G, 12G, 13A, 19G, 22G, 24G, 33G
  • Restricted lots (still require a lot-specific permit, even during Zone Parking): 5G, 8G, 10G, 11G, 23G, 25G, 29G, 6V, 31V, 30G, AIC, Carpool (11GCP, 17CP, 26CP), and all Resident lots

Common Questions

Zone Parking is available for employee parking permits only. Students should continue parking in their normally assigned lot.

Zone Parking runs from the Saturday after finals week through the Sunday before the start of the following quarter.

No action needed — all WWU employee permit holders get Zone Parking access automatically.

  • Full-time permit holders: your existing permit works in any Blue Zone lot during the active window, no changes needed.
  • Pay-by-Day permit holders: keep using the same ParkMobile zone you were assigned when signing up, but you'll be able to park in any Blue Zone lot on days you purchase a permit.
